XOXO Bandana Cowl
XOXO Bandana Cowl
PRODUCT: digital hand knitting pattern for XOXO bandana cowl.

INTRODUCTION: I designed a cowl for Knit Stars Club Kit for their June 2021 club kit, the XOXO cowl. I partnered up with Moondrake Co. to bring this design to life. I was inspired by the colors in Chinese porcelain and thought this would be a wonderful opportunity to honor our Chinese heritage together as we collaborated. Rachelle of Moondrake Co. came up with this beautiful jade colorway called “heritage” just for this kit.
A little story of where the name of this cowl came from. I couldn’t come up with a name for this design. Since I love symbolism, I decided to name it XOXO cowl, not because of hugs and kisses but because Shelley of Knit Stars signed an email or two with “XOXO”. It struck me because I hadn’t seen this signature being used in so long, since my high school days, like XOXO from the original Gossip Girl tv show days. I thought it would be nice to bring the design back to who I was designing the cowl for, Knit Stars and the owner, Shelley.

These prices indicate the fair amount that has been put into the designs and hopefully can become a sustainable way for me to keep creating hand knitting patterns.
