INTRODUCTION
Mile Road Tank was originally designed for the Nomadic Knits Magazine Issue Seven: Michigan. As I have called Michigan home for some time now, I was honored to be invited to contribute to this issue. This issue was released during the COVID-19 pandemic and so there were creative ways the issue came together, including the pattern designers, like myself, got to photograph ourselves modeling the designs which were included in the magazine (pictured below).
At the time this pattern was created, I was living in the Metro Detroit area. Mile Road was the name I came up with to represent the equidistant mile roads of the area into slip stitch columns in the pattern design.
This individually released pattern has updated measurements size grading for better fit at shoulders. This is such a versatile summer top to wear with cropped or full length.

SKILLS:slip stitches, decreasing, knitting in the round, knitting flat, three-needle bind-off.

NOTIONS:stitch markers, extra needles/stitch holders, tapestry needle/latch hook/crochet hook for ends, measuring tape, gauge ruler if needed

Finding the right ease for you, a guideline:
Measure around your chest at the fullest/widest point.
Grab one of your favorite fitting tops. Measure the top flat, at about 1"/ 2.5 cm below the armhole. Multiply by 2 to get the top’s circumference.
(Top Circumference – Full Chest = Ease) If negative number, that’s negative ease. If it is a positive number, that’s positive ease.
Sample photographed is Size 4 worn with negative 2.5”/6 cm ease at chest.
Pattern has been test knitted. Examples of other knitters who have knit this pattern during test knit are in the Blog.

Pay What You Choose:
In order to make my designs more financially accessible but still valuing the work it takes to create these patterns, I am implementing a “Pay What You Choose” model. These prices indicate the fair amount that has been put into the designs and hopefully can become a sustainable way for me to keep creating hand knitting patterns.
Listed are the codes and the price you will be paying next to them:
No Code: $12.50
TTierA: $10.50
TTierB: $9.50
